For me, being in charge of the initial introduction to a subject would be a lot more difficult than trying to bend and mold a post-lesson study session, so to speak, to an individual's understanding of it. Even if they don't completely understand it after a teacher shows them, there's at least- something there for a tutor to work with, you know?
