[ she only leaves her hideout when she gets it in her head she can help Mason and Tiffany. she heads out without thinking twice, and it's not long before she ends up completely lost ( not that she wasn't lost before, but now she's lost, the kind of misguided wandering that makes you feel tiny and and dumb and why did I leave that room? ), ]

[ -- which is why she all but shouts when she's stepping through a door and feels herself being pulled by the wrist before her eyes have even adjusted to the bright lights. ]

Miss Stacy, Miss Stacy-! Right this way, please.

[ she can't figure out where she is but she takes the booklet being handed to her, reads over every line pointed out to her. she doesn't understand any of it at first, not until she feel someone slipping something over her shoulders, shoving a blue cap in her hand.

graduation.

someone hands her a fake cellphone and urges her to read, and she doesn't know why she actually does it, but-

-- Did your, um. Did your traffic jam have anything to do with the Russian mob? And machine guns, by any chance?

[ she looks up from the page and that's-

not Peter Parker. it looks like him, and for a second she feels a surge of relief because she's really sure it's him, but no. it doesn't matter how much that one kid looks like Flash, and how she's pretty sure that's actually the principal of Midtown shaking hands with students and parents over there, she just knows right away that this isn't her Peter. but the scene keeps moving. he's talking to her and looking at her the way Peter does ( but it's not Peter ) and then-

Gwen? Honey? Family photo!

Mom! [ despite how firm she is in repeating in her head not Peter, not Peter, not Peter, she's still caught off guard by that voice, by seeing her mother and her brothers. god, she misses them so much. she feels someone nudge her in the arm, and she forces out a cheerful ] Okay! Alright.

Peter, join us?

[ nnnnnot that Gwen really hears the rest of that. because as she speaks, a man steps on stage shirt bloodied and torn, and he just. stares at her. which doesn't make sense, this isn't how things went ] Dad? [ and this isn't a memory, it's just a play, a weirdweird play, but she's still walking closer to him, gripping onto that fake phone hard enough to feel the plastic bend under her fingers ] What happened? Tell me what happened-!

[ it unnerves her that her father ( not her dad, but she's too caught up in it ) doesn't answer her ( doesn't break character ), but the actor playing her oldest brother sighs and tugs the script out of her hands, flipping to the cover before holding it out ]

This is the original script, see? The way it should have been. Didn't anyone tell you the changes?

[ the actors around her are bickering, but she doesn't hear it. she's just staring at her dad ( not her dad ) and trying to remember how to breathe. she can't handle this. she can't. she can't. ]

How do I get out of here? Please, I need to go-

[ ooc just one scenario, cause it got rambly. tag in with a vague starter if you want to walk in on another scene, and i can write one up :D ]
