It's official, I'm the worst Warden to ever disgrace this boat. Has the Admiral ever expelled someone from here before? I'd like to prepare myself.

[ finding Duke's room was easy enough. apologizing and trying to make rational sense of what exactly happened absolutely wasn't easy at all. it was embarrassing and insane and it's probably selfish of her to be taking the whole situation so personally, but she is. she's taking the blame, she feels so ridiculously responsible for Mason's actions already. temporary Warden or not, she was supposed to be making sure he was behaving, and this- wasn't. behaving. at all. and maybe she hadn't asked the right questions, she wasn't briefed enough. she'd do just about anything to get her hands on Mason's file, so she can just read everything she had to know, study it and memorize it and come up with a plan, but for now she had to rely on Mason's honesty and willingness to share information that could be useful in his rehabilitation, which was
obviously turning out to be a lot trickier than she thought it would.
still, she's not feeling nearly as uppity or motherly-disappointed as she was when she first discovered the network post about him, so that's good. she's following him back to his room so she can see what else he's managed to steal from the other passengers ( so. not. good. ), as well as his general living conditions. hadn't she read something about people's rooms being a good representation of how they handled everyday situations somewhere? ah, who knows. she's kind of grasping at straws at this point, trying to figure out if she can actually handle this, or if the Admiral bringing her here was a huge mistake. so she's just walking with him quietly for now, waiting until they're in his room before starting in on the dozens of what were you thinking questions she has in store for him. ]

There are way better ways to impress a girl than stealing things for her. I'll even help you with that, if you want. Finding a better way to woo her. If someone stole a shirt you really loved, and you saw them walking around wearing it, would you just let that go?
